 Located about 22 kilometers from Udaipur, the Eklingji Temple is one of Rajasthan's most revered religious and architectural landmarks. Each face symbolizes a different aspect of Lord Shiva: Surya (sun) facing east, Brahma (creator) facing west, Vishnu (preserver) facing north, and Rudra (destroyer) facing south. This unique representation signifies the deity’s omnipresence and power.

The temple’s architecture is a fine example of the Nagara style, with its towering shikhara (spire), intricately carved pillars, and ornate ceilings. The sculptures of dancers, musicians, and deities adorning the temple walls reflect the exquisite craftsmanship of the bygone era. The temple also features a silver door and a beautifully designed mandap (pillared hall), adding to its grandeur.

The temple is also associated with the royal family of Mewar, who regard Lord Eklingji as the ruler of the region, with the king serving as His deputy.
